www.NewYorkMattersNow.com  (NYMN), a division of Sigma Media Group, Inc. (SMG), is an online media production company formed to report on, produce and distribute news content focused on New York state political issues.

Experienced reporters will cover the New York State Capitol to generate original news stories about New York state government.  Relationships with affiliated media in all New York state media markets will allow NYMN to also gather news from across the state.  All of this, combined with aggregated news from publicly available sources, will be available on the NYMN website. This site will make NYMN the source for informative and provocative non-biased content, making it the “go-to” source for information about New York state news and politics.

By providing compelling content that is relevant to many New Yorkers, NYMN will develop a loyal audience that also represents an attractive target for advertisers, including political candidates, advocacy groups and others seeking to influence the opinions of elected officials, legislative staff and the general public. NYMN will generate revenue from online ads from traditional sales outlets, such as law firms and car dealers as well as political, advocacy and government advertising. NYMN also plans to develop additional revenue from content distribution through reciprocal agreements with local broadcast TV and cable organizations.
